Seven Canyons Golf
Measuring nearly 7,000 yards from the championship tees, Seven Canyons offers natural beauty and walkability. This intimate par-72 course winds among jagged cliff faces, red-rock monoliths, ancient pinion pines, and alligator junipers. Subtle contours, crafty bunkers, and meandering arroyos set up for a risk/reward round of golf.
Located within the Coconino National Forest, Seven Canyons is bordered on three sides by awe-inspiring vermillion cliffs. Described as “strategic in nature,” the course’s finest hallmarks are its extraordinary beauty, precision shot requirements, and overall personality. Course designer Tom Weiskopf showcases his keen sense of style and strategic play, creating a compelling golf experience reminiscent of classic courses designed first and foremost for the pleasure of the game.
The course caters equally to men and women, captivating the casual player as well as low-handicap purists. With 300 days of sunshine a year, it’s a passion you can pursue year-round. It’s a setting that’s ideal for unforgettable golf.
The Practice Park
Complementing the course is our two-tiered Practice Park for fine-tuning your game, featuring a 20,000 square-foot teeing area with 25 hitting stations and four target greens. Set within its own secluded box canyon, you can spend hours hitting balls amid Sedona’s picturesque landscape.
From The Mind of Tom Weiskopf
This mesmerizing setting captured the imagination of one of the best high-desert designers in the golf world: Open Champion and “Golf Architect of the Year” by Golf World magazine, Tom Weiskopf. From your first swing, it’s evident why Tom considers Seven Canyons to be one of his masterpieces.
Weiskopf was challenged by this swath of land—thought by some to be too small for a truly amazing championship layout—so he embarked on a labor of love that would transform this box canyon into what it is today. He rode horseback through the mesmerizing landscapes of Seven Canyons to envision a world-class course with a timeless sensibility, designing without any working drawings. Ultimately, he created a “core golf” concept that minimizes building along the course and maximizes a gallery of Sedona’s pure nature. It has become one of the most special courses Weiskopf’s ever created. And it’s moments from your home at Seven Canyons.
